The Great Rubber Ducky Race to save SOU Pool
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Great Rubber Ducky races! We raised over $17,600 to support aquatics this coming year!
Still upcoming is our "Thank You" Car Wash on Saturday August 1st:
The Aquatics Foundation of Southern Oregon (AFSO) will provide a “thank you” Car Wash to everyone who purchased a duck ticket on Saturday August 1st from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Bring your Rubber Ducky Adoption Ticket and receive a free car wash at one of three car wash locations. Car Wash Locations are Ashland Physical Therapy, 275 Lithia Way in Ashland, Little Brown Jug at 104 So. Pacific Hwy in Talent and Red Robin on Biddle Rd in Medford.
The Aquatics Foundation of Southern Oregon needs your support to keep the SOU pool open. For more information call AFSO at 541-840-8224 (Jim Heath) or visit this website http://www.southernoregonswim.org/.
AFSO is a non-profit 501(c) 3 aquatics advocacy coalition. After SOU’s pool closed in the Spring of 2007, AFSO partnered with SOU and negotiated an agreement to reopen the pool to community users from all over the Rogue Valley (including Rogue Valley Masters, Southern Oregon Water Polo, Rogue Valley Water Polo, Superior Stingray Swimmers, Ashland, Phoenix and Medford Swim Teams, and other swim & boating safety, scuba classes and certifications). Our fundraising pays pool operating costs. AFSO’s mission is to support aquatics in Southern Oregon.
